California Coast: Leo Carrillo State Park

Leo Carrillo State Park is one of the marvelous gifts the California coast has given us, a perfect place for camping, surfing, and simply enjoying a day beach trip.Located twenty-eight miles northwest of Santa Monica on the Pacific Coast Highway, its rapidly becoming one of the top summer campgrounds.

Leo Carrillo is a great place for kids and families, the campgrounds are filled with RV’s, tents and children riding their bikes. The atmosphere at the campgrounds is the ideal place for a family adventure. The beach itself was clean and one of the best beaches in the Californian coast.

One of my most favorite features of this beach are the sea caves, they are extraordinary to look at and walk through. Although the waves could get a bit rough, I would proceed with caution. This is a perfect spot for photographers, and people with selfie sticks.
