This one is for all the obsessive Hello Kitty fans out there. Unbeknownst to me, I just discovered that there is a Hello Kitty Cafe Pop-Up at the Irvine Spectrum. I came across it during a mall shopping trip and I was shocked by how cute it was, how clever it was and how long the line was on such a hot day!
The cafe offers little dessert treats and drinks. Normally, I’ve only seen the Hello Kitty truck cafe but this one is more like an actual cafe, although relatively small. There is a section where you order and then they have a few small tables where you can enjoy your food. Chances are you will have to sit someplace else or get it to go.
The day I went there was about 20-25 people in line, it was a hot Saturday and there was no shade being offered for those in line. So clearly if people are willing to wait, it either must be good or it’s really just about the theme.
There are so many themed cafes and restaurants across the world, that it makes sense as to why there would be a Hello Kitty one. In fact, I think in the right location, a Hello Kitty themed restaurant would be highly successful.
Address: 670 Spectrum Center Drive, Irvine, CA 92618
